"Can you help me find a GOOD book?"

Here are some websites that might help you find a good book! We’re adding new lists all the time, so check back later for more.
Please add your own book list websites to this list by adding a comment to this post!

1. YALSA’s (Young Adult Library Services Association) Booklists
The American Library Association’s YALSA makes booklists every year on many topics, such as quick picks (easy, high interest paperbacks to catch the interest of folks who don’t like to read), best books of the year for teens, best graphic novels, best nonfiction, thematic lists (sports, family, romance, etc), award winners, etc. Check out what’s hot this year!

2. What Should I Read Next?
“Can you recommend a book like...?” This awesome, easy site lets you type in a book that you liked and get recommendations for similar books! Thanks to Kennedy HS Library for this one!

3. New York Times Bestseller List
This newspaper maintains one of the most famous and respected lists of bestselling books. It changes all the time as new books are published.

4. The Romance Reader
Valentine’s Day is approaching! This romance-only site gives a rating out of five hearts (like stars, or thumbs up) for each book. If you click on the title, it gives a description of the plot. It also gives romance books from different genres, like historical romance and even time travel romance! Not all of these books are appropriate for teens, but we have a lot of the ones that are in our IHS library. J
